Anvil of The North

A Musical Journey Through An Ancient Landscape

After some years, with more than a few scares and setbacks, I find myself in the happy position of finally being able to release a new album. This is a musical evocation of a mythical kind of Europe. It ranges from the Iberian influences of “Three Horsemen From Segarra”, to the glaciers of the Alps, as imagined in the track “Das Tal” This was inspired by a remote valley in Switzerland. You will also find everything in between, (Including morris dancing, and a take by Tolkien of an old nursery rhyme). As on previous albums, I play most of the instruments, this time including the rather quaintly named guitarlele. As always I have been ably abetted by my partner in crime, Cathy Alexander, who plays a mean recorder, some additional keyboards, and has been known to sing
